Giuseppe Simonetti, who was born in 1943 in the Italian city of Ala, is a pioneer in air rescue and material transport by helicopter. In 1983 he founded “Elicampiglio”, which deals with load transport as well as precision work and passenger transport with helicopters.

Elicampiglio's main operational base is located in Dimaro (Trento). There are two other detached bases in Imer (Trentino) and Renon/Ritten (Bolzano/Bozen), strategic points for reaching the Dolomites, lakes and mountain pastures throughout Trentino South Tyrol.
